So day 10, high-income skilled copywriting. So if you’re not familiar with copywriting, copywriting is basically writing sales copy, right?
So when you, you check out at the grocery store and you see all the magazines, as you check out, it’ll, you know, that grab your attention. Like, how to lose 20 pounds in five seconds. That’s copywriting, right? Some of it’s good, some of it’s bad. So this is a skill that you must have. I don’t care what you’re selling, what you’re doing, it’s an important skill. So Dave talks about how to write copy that sells, right?
And how there’s a difference between creative writing and copywriting. Copywriting is totally different than writing like a creative article or something. So if you hear noises in the background, that’s my puppy. I apologize. He likes to get out. So that’s it. But one of the key things here is talking about the sales funnels. So if you’ve been following along on the Challenge in the earlier days of the Challenge talks about the sales funnel.

The very first page of the sales funnel is your landing page. So when you send people from YouTube or your blog or emails or wherever, they’re going to see that landing page and they’re going to read that sales copy right away, that copywriting. So that’s what’s going to grab their attention and want them to give you your name and email. And that’s going to turn into a lead. So that’s important. And also Dave has has a spa. This is a little bit longer video. It’s about 35 minutes.
But they talk about, I believe it’s Steph Perez. Steph Perez teaches you how to write emails in this training, which is super cool. I love this training. I suck at writing emails. I’ve been doing this for a couple of years and I still, I hate writing them. I’m not good at it. So I learned a ton in this and she talks about, you know, how to get your emails delivered so they’re not spammy because when there’s certain spam words in emails, they won’t get delivered.
Because the bots will block them. It’ll go into people’s junk folder. That’s important. And then you know, you want to create subject lines that engage people. So if you’ve ever seen any M, you know, think about the emails that you open, what’s capturing your attention when you look at that subject line. And then she talks about the anatomy of the email, like how to break it down, like from the subject line to the very first sentence to the middle to the end.
Getting them to actually take action and click on your link. Because in the end, your, you know, the email where it’s working for us on the backend and we want to sell our or services. And then she talks about the six different types of emails. So I won’t go into detail with them, but there’s the story, the checklists, the question, answer controversy, popular reference and curiosity.
So I typically stick with the first one, which is the story I like to tell stories. So I try to relate my emails to personal stories that you know, struggles I’ve had and how I’ve gone from here to here. I find that they’d be the easiest one to write. But there’s different ones you can do here. So you might find that you’re more, you’re better at like the checklist type or the controversy or the, the more curiosity, like a subject line that kinda makes them go, Whoa, I like to just be real authentic.
Stick with my story, with my emails because I can write them easier. And that’s about it. So I just always keep in my notes here. It’s short and sweet guys.
